Daily Reminders Du
Jour
(or "Things that Nick15 is tired of
repeating over and over again")
This is an archived website! (notice added October 18, 2021):
This is a version of Pokémon Aaah! that existed as of October 20th, 2003... give or take a day, and obviously not counting this notice box. This site archive remains basically unchanged since 2003, partially so that people can see what the internet and Pokémon websites were like in 2003, but also as a general archive. That said, there have been a few minor changes that occurred in that time, largely to do with removing personal data of various people mentioned in old news. I may have also snuck in a few Easter Eggs for gits and shiggles. If your name is mentioned on this (or any other PA! site, archived or otherwise) and would like for it to be removed, please don't hesitate to contact me at nick15 [at] pokemonaaah [dot] net; absolutely NO reason is necessary for removal, just ask! That said, if you happen to want to share the reason why with me, it would be appreciated!
Pokémon Aaah! is BACK online! Please visit us at PokemonAaah.net, as well as our Twitter and Discord server... you'll get a kick out of what we've been doing in the mean time! :D
Site Stuff:
The
forums are not working.
NeoCards.dot.Pet, our NeoPets TCG site, will be
opening October 1st. Keep an eye out for the link.
:D
We'll be moving FakeCard.com to another server within
the next week or so. So in that time PA! and etc. might be
down for a few days while we transfer files over.
Pokémon TCG News:
ADV
3 is out in Japan!
EX:
Sandstorm was just released in
North America!
The spoiler itself isn't complete (There's maybe about... 120 cards in this set!). However I do have the entire card list up on that page. :) Team Aqua and Team Magma have their own Poochyenas! Good times. ;)
A Quick Diversion: What's this formation? Nick15? RyoShin?! BPM?!?! (Me!) What a stange combination! Who are we? A Pokémon news sensation! Pokéaaahsan! It's news time! The Actual News:
Thanks again to PA! affiliate Pokémon Forever, we got some new stuff info on the upcoming Pokémon games.
First of all, on October 15th, Meowth346 posted full-body images of the playable characters in Fire Red/Leaf Green (with some cover-up techniques to prevent image theft. I don't blame him, honestly). And... what's this?! It's not Ash in FL! While dressed very similarly, it isn't him. Well, delete my soul and call me "Susan"†, I was wrong about the whole thing! So, who are these folks? Long lost siblings of Ash? Or distant cousins of the Ketchum family? Or perhaps FL takes place long after RGBY and there's a new family living in Pallet Town? Or maybe... umm... a fourth thing?! Only time will tell!
Next on the agenda... The Colosseum information. Reported earlier today, Meowth346 said that Corocoro stated how the Gold/Silver Pokémon will be obtained in the Advance/Cube generation of Pokémon games. Huzzah!
Psst! Nick! You think his friend was talking about us about the tag thing?
Yeah, PA! is closing.... until we move to our new server! :-P
Actually, we're gonna work be working on moving fakecard.com to the new server, which will take a while. On the upside, I'm gonna give PA! a long due upgrade (PA!8.5) by adding all sorts of new, old, and missing things to the site. Not to mention get the forums up.
So.... if fakecard.com somehow disappears all of a sudden, don't worry, it's just being moved. :) Adios until then! (^_^)
A Quick Diversion: I'm reorganizing my family's kitchen. We have a lot of crap. XP The Actual News:
First off, I need to find out how this title is spelled. First, the article I linked to Monday had it spelled Coliseum. Today's article has it as Colosseum, and on checking back, they changed the spelling in the other article, too. Now, neither way is wrong, but now I'm confused. I believe it's Colosseum, though.
IGNPocket has posted a bit more on the link up capabilities between Colosseum and R/S/F/L. Apparently, to be able to trade Pokemon from Colosseum (which I think may include uncatchables in R/S) to R/S/F/L and vice versa, you have to do certain things. No mention of what, but probably you have to get to a certain point in the game or some such dealy.
A Quick Diversion: Oh... holy... sweetness. An all-newZelda GCN bonus disc. Seriously... (Info and images came from Zelda Elements. Nice Legend of Zelda site if you ask me) The Actual News:
Thanks to PA! Affiliate Pokémon Forever, we now have an image of the playable female trainer in F/L. Check it out:
Many people assumed that you'd be able to pick a male or female character (like in Crystal, Ruby, and Sapphire), so now it's official. Huttah! So... anyone got any guesses as to a default name for her?
Hm. "F/L" is two letter short of "FLCL"... huh huh huh...
A Quick Diversion: Finally got a job! Say hello to a local Computer Specialist at Best Buy. :D GO RETAIL! The Actual News:
Alrighty. We have some more Pokemon COliseum bits for you this time around. It appears Toys 'R' Us loves them Japanese more than them loves us'n Americans. Well, maybe not. In any case, it appears the TRUs in Japan had some sort of Toys 'R Us Toy Festa (Festa = Fiesta?), in which Nintendo showed us a video of Coliseum with both battle and adventure footage, hurrah!
It also appears that if you pre-order Coliseum in Japan, you get a bonus disk that has a preview of Pokemon Channel as well as some special Pokemon for use in Colisseum. No word on if us'n Americans (or other countries, for that matter) will get this bonus.
On a side note, I will now go out of my way to make an official shortening for Pokemon Coliseum: PokeCol. Remember, Pokemon Stadium's shortening is PokeSta, so this is no different. :D
Can't make heads of tails of this? Well PA!'s own Senior Legal Advisor, me, will help decipher what's going on. In short:
Wizards of the Coasts (WotC) is suing Nintendo and it's partner, Pokémon USA, Inc (PUI). Several WotC senior executives important to the Pokémon TCG quit WotC and were later hired by Nintendeo and PUI to head their own trading card game division. Wizards claims that Nintendo and PUI participated in anti-competitive behavior (for example, allowing the release of LC2 and Jmaboree ONLY if Wizards shared confidential information), as well as stole secrets from the senior WotC executives who went to Nintendo. Nintendo claims that it followed the all contract agreements and did no wrong doing.
In shorter short.... Wizards claims that Nintendo stole ideas and methods that were supposed to be secret.
So... whee.... this'll prove to be a dealin', crazy cat scratchin', two-toes on high heal, boom cradlin', get-your-face-out-of-the chocolate kind of fun on simmering residue very soon.
So what's to know? Let's give it a good run down....
As you can tell, Aerodactyl ex and Kabutops ex from Sandstorm are in ADV4/EX1, as previously predicted and mentioned many times. Expect these cards to NOT be in the English release of ADV4/EX1, and likewise, expect their preevolutions to be in ADV4/EX1 This card's main set has 80 cards, not counting any cards from the 2 30-card Team Magma/Aqua side decks. It just might be a typo, but my sources indicated that all these ex cards (quite a bit of them to begin with) are merely rares and not ultra/holo rares. We'll see when it comes out... Double Rainbow Energy's 10-less-damage deal only counts for the Defending Pokemon, not any damage done to itself. Meaning... sorry Metal Chansey and Rocket Zapdos users. Swampert's Hyper Pump attack is the coolest one of the lot. 100 for 5 energy. Nice!
.... That's it. Enjoy the spoiler, and keep an eye out for updates now that the race is on. [thinks] Whatever that means.
A Quick Diversion: Still jobless. [needs money badly] The Actual News:
Nick says we should be able to move either next week or the week after. At which time, all of Fakecard will be down a bit while we get everything set up and re-organizined, including the forums.
What I need from our adoring public is suggestions of what they want to see on the new forums. My hope is to get it all set up, reinstall the information I *DO* have a back up for, upload a good amount of skins, and install hacks all before I open it to the public. I need skin ideas, possible things to have on start up, and I need everyone to visit Vbulletin.org and pick out hacks they would like to see.
How do you relate all this back to me? Go ahead and post in this topic at our backup forums.
